Hello! I'm so glad you stopped in....

I am many things. I'm a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. I am also a nurse anesthetist, avid reader, student of Hebrew, passionate rower and novice blogger. The list could continue as I'm sure it could for anyone. In the hectic world around us, we all wear many hats. However, the most important descriptor of who I am is a follower of Jesus Christ.

The truth is I have been a believer since I was a child. My life has been a tangle of twists and turns, up and downs, and questionable decisions that may not seem to support my claim of following Christ. Can anyone relate? I wish I could point to a "life well-lived" as proof of my Christianity. I feel most of us have an image of what we think a Christian should look like. Am I wrong? Why has my own view of a "Christian life" so often been in conflict with the facts of my own life story? These are questions I have been prayerfully considering.

 

I have made a firm decision to pursue answers to some of my lingering questions. Currently, I am spending more quality time with God, through devotions, prayer and reading His word. As I invest more time with Him, I am learning to listen to His guidance rather than run full steam ahead after my own, often flawed, plans.

I trust my reflections will be an encouragement to you. I am not trying to bring condemnation or confrontation, other than the self-confrontation I experience as I study God's word. My intent is to share my thoughts and my heart. May my blog be a blessing to you as we all learn to listen........
